My dad and my dogs

My dad always acts like he doesn't like my dogs. It's funny because when he thinks no one is watching, he pets them and feeds them. He came over my house today and I took some quick pictures. The dogs know he loves them. They love him too!! Ha! Caught you dad!!

My dogs have claimed the couch. Audie and Boog like to sit on the end of the couch and look out the window. They love to monitor the house and yard. They are good watch dogs. Audie always sits like he is a human. He sits in the car the same way. Maynard usually just stands on his back two legs to look out the window when the other dogs alert him. He gets on the couch when he is feeling lonely; needing love and petting. I don't really like them on the couch. I hate the smell and the hair. I ended up letting Audie get on it because we have tile floor. The tile is so hard and it hurts Audie's hips. Oh well, good thing I don't have a husband. He would probably take my recliner and I would have to sit on the stinky couch!! LOL!

Hi! My dogs wake me up every morning at 8:30 like clockwork. Boog, the small one, gets on my bed and lightly barks at me until I wake up. The other two dogs wait for us by the bedroom door. They like to go out back to use the bathroom and roam around. Audie, the lab, likes to wait outside while I make his breakfast. Audie likes me to say, "Come in Audie, your breakfast is ready!" It is so funny how happy it makes him. So... I do it! He is so cute. I love his cute smile with his crooked teeth. He is a great dog! They are very good about waiting to use the restroom. In all these years, they have only had a couple accidents (only when sick with diarrhea).
Once Audie came running to me. I could tell that he was scared by his eyes. He was panicking. Then he started making the movements like he was going to throw up. Then it came out all on the floor. Poor baby, it really scared him. In the throw up was a super bouncy ball. He must have been playing ketch with it and swallowed it. He likes to pick up his toys and throw them and then run get them. It's really cute. Sometimes he gets so happy with his toys, he starts bucking like a horse, swinging the toy from side to side. It's great. I have Audie with me the longest, so it's like he is my baby.

My three dogs!!

I have 3 dogs!

Dog # 1: A chow mix, Maynard Elroy, who is 13 years old. My brother asked me if I could keep him for 3-4 weeks while he relocated to a new city. Meanwhile, 5 years later, I still have him! I love him a lot. He is onry, stubborn and wants tons of attention and love.

Dog # 2: A black European Lab, Audie Murphy, who is 7 years old. My daughter begged me for a dog. She was always talking about tiny little dogs sitting in her lap and carrying them around in a bag or oversized purse. So... I told her she could go to the animal shelter and get one. She came home with Audie, a year and a half at the time. She said he looked so sad and depressed that she had to take him. My daughter has grown up and moved on with her own family. I still have Audie. He is the sweetest, good spirited dog I have ever met. I love him a lot too!

Dog # 3: A mix between pomeranian and terrier, Boog (he already had this name when we adopted him. He is tiny. Well, he was when I got him. He was 4 pounds. A co-worker had to give him away. He was going to give him to the animal shelter, so my sister and I adopted him. He is also very stubborn and adorable. He has the sad eye thing down perfect. Of course, I love him too.
